These Ladokites just won another Debate Competition at Unilorin

Barely one month after winning a national public speaking competition at FUTA, Ladokites have again won another inter-university debate at the University of Ilorin on Tuesday.

The LAUTECH team debated on the topic ‘Agrarian Economy, A panacea or setback to economic instability,’ against speakers from other institutions.
LAUTECH was represented by five debaters including Nurudeen Olamidotun (Speaker) — who also won the speaking competition at FUTA and placed second at NAAS debate, Afolabi Oluwaseyi (Speaker), Yusuf Opeyemi, Afolabi Favour, and Olanipekun Opeoluwa.

The team was accompanied by the NAAS President and Dr Alao of CEP department. They were also supported by Joseph Taiwo who helped with the preparations and training.
“The debate was nice, said Nurudeen, one of the speakers. “The atmosphere was conducive and the judges were fair.”

Unilorin came in second while Adekunle Ajasin placed third. Other participating schools were UNIOSUN, OAU, and EKSU.
